Another handy feature is that these kits are universal spill response kits, which means that they will absorb a range of liquids, from plain water to miscellaneous water-based liquids to oils and even chemicals. This means your supply of spill response kits will work no matter what has been spilled, and you won’t have to keep an entire array of different types of spill kits handy – unless you choose to.

Clean Your Spills Up Faster!

But here’s the best part. Our spill kits work FAST! They outperform most of the competing brands by working much more quickly and effectively than most regular kits! And that’s not by accident… but by design! We have spent plenty of time and effort on making it happen.

Here’s why our spill kits work so well…

First, they contain 5 sookers instead of the more traditional absorbent socks. So what are sookers and why are they more effective than socks? They’re large, 8 by 18 inches, and they’re super absorbent because their surface area is much larger than that of socks. So when you apply them to a spill, they soak up the liquid in record time.

This also means that you have two options to use them. You can soak up the spill immediately by placing them on the spill directly, or you can arrange them around a spill to contain it, much like you would do with socks. And since sookers are malleable like pillows, they can be squished into tight spaces where they can prevent liquids from seeping out.

Of course, that’s not all! Our kits also contain 15 large, highly absorbent propylene pads of 15 by 18 inches each. These pads are dimpled, which gives them an enhanced surface area, which also lets them absorb liquids very quickly. In addition, they’re perforated, so you can tear them into sections and use only as much as you need, right then and there, which also saves you money.

How To Use Your Universal Spill Kits

While our spill response kits are easy enough to use, we have added detailed instructions just in case. But first things first:

You need to have a sufficient number of Universal spill kits available to handle even the largest spills you typically get in your work areas. So take some time to think through where you might need a kit or five. Then order your kits and store them near the most likely places where spills might occur.

Also remember to provide your staff members with training on how to use them, and where they can get extra kits if needed. If you have 5 potential spill areas, you can keep a few buckets in each of those areas. Then instruct your crew to get extra buckets from other nearby areas if needed, while always leaving at least one in place, to ensure a quick response.

Then make sure they know how open the EZ peel lid as well as how to use the sookers and pads inside. And for their protection, they need to use the included safety goggles and gloves, and finally place any used absorbents into the disposal bags.

If not all included absorbents are used, they can be placed back into the bucket, along with an extra set of gloves and a disposal bag. Then reseal the red bucket and place it where it will be handy if and when another spill occurs.

Follow Safety Regulations

Our Universal spill kits comply with general safety regulations, including 49 CFE, 40 CFR and 29 CFR. There are also additional regulations, including at the local level, the state level, and the federal level when it comes to disposal of used absorbents that you need to be sure to comply with as well. So be sure to familiarize yourself with any and all of those additional rules and regulations and include them in your staff training too.

Environmentally Friendly

Quick cleanup of any spills is essential when it comes to protecting the environment, and we’ll give you the tools to do just that. In addition, the absorbents in the sookers are made out of recycled filler, and all of our absorbents are non-toxic while unused. Only when used to absorb toxic chemicals do they become an environmental hazard, and at that point they will need to be secured in the included disposal bag, and be disposed of in accordance with any applicable regulations.
